Unit 4 Spelling Words

We are going to start giving different word lists this week for the rest of the year. We have children in our classroom that need more challenging words, some that need a reduced list of words, and some that continue to do well on their regular word list each week.  So find your color of spelling word list and practice the words.  As always, if there is any questions, let me know. :)

Unit 3 Spelling Words

Here are unit 3 spelling words.  Remember we take a pretest on Wednesday and then if they didn't get a 100%, they retake the same words on Friday.  If they get a 100%, they get five challenge words for Friday. :)

Spelling Words Week 1

This is our first week of spelling! :) Your child will be coming home with a pink list today of spelling words that they have written and gotten a sticker on their page. We will be taking a pretest on Wednesday.  If they get a 100%, they don't have to take the regular word test on Friday! But they will recieve a challenge word list on Wednesday that they can study for their test on Friday!  As always, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! :) Thank you!

Class Wordle

Yesterday in class we thought about words that would descibe Inman Primary School.  There is an awesome website called wordle that you can go in and chose what font, color, and direction that you want your words to go.  Here is our wordle that we created about our wonderful school.  Look for one about your child to come home in the near future.  We are going to make some wordles about ourselves then hang them in the hallway outside our room.  But we will make sure to send a copy home so you can see them too!

Treemendous Behavior Chart

WOW! It's the end of July! We will be starting school on August 15th! I can't believe it. My family and I have been busy getting our camp ready for the new class of third graders!  I thought I would share a picture of my discipline tree.  I am very excited about this piece of my room.  I bought the treemendous behavior clipchart from www.teacherspayteachers.com. When I was preparing for my classroom, I saw the tree with owls that came from Carson Dellosa, and thought it went perfect with the behavior chart.
